From July 12–19, 2025, Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point hosted the 2025 North Carolina Wing Civil Air Patrol Encampment, where approximately 300 cadets, ages 12 to 21, participated in hands-on training focused on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), as well as leadership development.
