U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Mandy Blomgren, 9th Physiological Support Squadron U-2 mission support technician, ensures the integrity of the U-2 Dragon Lady high altitude pressure suit during an inspection at Beale Air Force Base, California, January 22, 2024. During the inspection, the suit is inflated and the link net, made up of interconnected string, is checked for uneven holes which are reconfigured and readjusted, while every fitting is checked to ensure nothing is too loose or tense. The suit itself, as well as the aircraft vent hose, is inspected inside and out to check it's integrity as any deterioration or damage can prevent the suit from reaching full pressurization or to leak.
