North Carolina National Guard Army Spc. Megan Blue (middle) pulls the generator power cord and Army Spc. Erik Van Dyne (left) connects it to the Joint Network Node as they test equipment during the 295th Signal Network Support Company’s preparation for annual training, April 13. Van Dyne and Blue manned the node station during the training, making sure the internet and phones received connection. Blue received instructions from Van Dyne who entered the military about three years ago without any computer knowledge and was told to enter this military occupation based on his entrance test scores.
