Army Maj. Gen. Greg Lusk, adjutant general of North Carolina addresses members of the N.C. Guard and the N.C. National Guard Association at an association business session before the 2013 combined Enlisted and Officer Ball, here, April 27. Lusk spoke about how resources and missions will begin to dwindle as the NCNG begins to ramp down operations abroad. “If we are not at the table, we will be on the menu,” Lusk emphatically stated. The discussion was to help clarify the importance of remaining relevant to key decision makers at the local, state and national levels.
