Former U.S. Marine Raiders take a group photo with leadership from Marine Forces Special Operations Command, along with friends and family from the Marine Raider Association at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C., July 10, 2025. In attendance was Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Dennis J. Hejlik, the first commanding general of MARSOC, and Col. (Ret.) Peter Petronzio, who played a crucial role in the early development of MARSOC.
