At the Big Branch Marsh National Wildlife Refuge, Lacombe, La. The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Wetlands Team members demonstrate to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District Staff, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Liaison how to conduct a rapid Wet Pine Flatwood assessment method for the central region of the Gulf Coast. This research is funded in collaboration with the USFWS and the USACE New Orleans District. Natural resource assessments support the agency's execution of the Clean Water Act and associated statutes.
