    NORFOLK, Va. (July 9, 2025) Capt. Bryan Carmichael, commodore, Commander Naval Surface Group Middle Atlantic shakes hands with Cmdr. William Inch, the command, control, communications, computers, combat systems and intelligence (C5I) officer aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp, in a personnel barge classroom, July 9, 2025. Carmichael and his team visited Wasp to discuss and review the progression of maintenance as part of CNSG Mid-Atlantic’s focus of manning, training and equipping non-nuclear surface ships to provide operational and component commanders with combat ready Naval forces to support U.S. national interest.
