Photographer Bruce Dale took this picture of Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Christopher Brumbaugh of the USS Crommelin saying goodbye to his wife, Elaina, before the ship set sail for a six-month deployment. Dale quoted Elaina as saying, "I was not ready to face the first of six months' worth of mornings without my husband.
