U.S. and Iraq air force pilots prepare a Cessna 172 for departure July 9, 2008, from New Al Muthana Air Base in Baghdad to Kirkuk Air Base in northern Iraq. The aircraft is one of the latest additions to the Iraqi air force. Eleven new aircraft -- eight Cessna 172s and three Cessna Caravan 208s -- were transferred from U.S. forces to the Iraqis during a ceremony the same day at New Al Muthana.
