The Army Research Laboratory Simulation and Training Technology Center leads the Federal Virtual Worlds Challenge, and in 2010 the topic was training, with subcategories for collaboration, skill building, instruction and visualization. The $25,000 grand prize went to Andrew Stricker, Mike McCrocklin and Cynthia Calongne of Air University for the Mars Expedition Strategy Challenge.
