Cindee Parker, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers natural resource specialist, poses with two prehistoric visitors (volunteers in inflatable dinosaur costumes) at the Fort Peck Interpretive Center and Museum, June 21, 2025, at Fort Peck, Montana, during its 20th anniversary celebration. The Interpretive Center officially opened May 7, 2005, the same date as the start of the Montana Dinosaur Trail, a collaboration of 14 museums in Montana meant to boost paleontology tourism. The 20th anniversary event included all day activities where visitors could explore the center, speak with local wildlife and paleontology experts, play lawn games, make souvenir buttons, create bird feeders, read a book along a half-mile story trail, tour the local powerhouses and more.
