A young visitor to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Fort Peck Interpretive Center and Museum gets his final stamp to complete his Montana Dinosaur Trail passport, June 21, 2025, during the center’s 20th anniversary celebration in Fort Peck, Montana. The Interpretive Center officially opened May 7, 2005, the same date as the start of the Montana Dinosaur Trail, a collaboration of 14 museums in Montana meant to boost paleontology tourism. The 20th anniversary event included all day activities where visitors could explore the center, speak with local wildlife and paleontology experts, play lawn games, make souvenir buttons, create bird feeders, read a book along a half-mile story trail, tour the local powerhouses and more.
