Maryland Military Department’s Parker Reilly, an archivist trainee at the Maryland Museum of Military History, carries a Renaissance Revival armchair up a flight of stairs inside the Montrose Mansion, located on Camp Fretterd Military Reservation in Reisterstown, Maryland, on June 6, 2025. These chairs, manufactured by Renwick & Son of Baltimore, who supplied the furniture for Baltimore City Hall as well as the Maryland State House, are identical to those that appear in an engraving of the interior of the office of the Adjutant General of Maryland and the library of the Richmond Market Armory.
