Maj. Gen. John C. Andonie, Commanding General (Interim) for the District of Columbia National Guard, and Pamela A. Smith, Chief of Police for the Metropolitan Police Department, sign a Certificate of Partnership during a Partnership for Your Success (PaYS) ceremony at MPD headquarters in Washington, DC, on June 18, 2025. Through this partnership, MPD will help Soldiers leverage their military experience to secure meaningful employment in both public safety and other key sectors, providing a clear pathway to success. The program connects Regular Army/Army Reserve/Army National Guard Soldiers and Reserve Component to the civilian workforce by providing guaranteed job interviews and possible employment. Col. (Ret.)
