U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Michelle K. Donahue, commanding general of the U.S. Army Combined Arms Support Command, the Sustainment Center of Excellent and Fort Lee, presents Virginia National Guard flight crew members with a coin in recognition of their support to the reopening of the McLaney Drop Zone June 13, 2025, at Fort Lee, Virginia. The event was part of CASCOM’s commemoration of the U.S. Army’s 250th birthday, and included a jump made by parachute rigger instructors assigned to the U.S. Army Quartermaster’s Aerial Delivery and Field Services Department. The flight crews, assigned to 2nd Battalion, 224th Aviation Regiment, 29th Infantry Division, provided imperative aerial support to the event.
