U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Diana Apollon lights the first of three ceremonial NCO candles during the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research’s NCO Induction Ceremony, held in Silver Spring, Maryland, June 13, 2025. The NCO Induction Ceremony marked the passage of six Soldiers into the Noncommissioned Officer Corps. The ceremony also included a cake cutting in honor of the Army’s 250th birthday.
