Soldiers, veterans, and community members participate in a ceremonial cake cutting during the U.S. Army’s 250th Birthday Splash Bash celebration at Freedom Crossing, Fort Bliss, Texas, June 14, 2025. The event brought together past and present generations to honor the Army’s legacy of service and sacrifice through a day of fun, family-friendly activities, and unity across all branches.
The cake cutting included representatives from the 1st Armored Division, Korean War and Vietnam War veterans, local leaders, and Army culinary specialists from Fort Bliss.
“This isn’t just a birthday—it’s a living legacy that spans generations,” said Brig. Gen. Rory A. Crooks, Deputy Commanding General – Operations, 1st Armored Division. “We’re proud to celebrate with the community that stands beside our Soldiers every day.”
