Commander Alden Argante assumes the role of installation executive officer on June 16, 2025. Commander Alden Argante was born in Manila, Philippines and later migrated with his family to Virginia Beach, Va. He enlisted in the Navy as a Gas Turbine Systems Technician Electrical (GSE) in June 1996, graduating from Recruit Training Command and Naval Training Center in Great Lakes, Ill. in March 1997. He was promoted to the rank of Chief Petty Officer in 2004, and was later selected as a Limited Duty Officer, Surface Engineering Repair (6130 designator) in 2007. He completed LDO/CWO Indoctrination School in Newport, R.I. Commander Argante holds an Associate’s degree in Business Administration from Tidewater Community College and a Bachelor’s degree in Management Studies from University of Maryland University College. Most recently he served as Officer-In-Charge/Senior Inspector of Shipboard Material Assessment and Readiness Testing (SMART) for Commander Military Sealift Command before assuming his current role.
