Yesterday, the Soldier Recovery Unit held a Change of Command ceremony, marking a transition in leadership and honoring two outstanding officers.
Lt. Col. Clarisa A. Horton relinquished command after a distinguished tenure defined by compassion, professionalism, and decades of service across critical intelligence and leadership roles. Her career included multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan and key assignments from Fort Riley to the Pentagon.
Lt. Col. Colin M. Bair assumed command, bringing with him a wealth of operational experience from his time with the 25th and 173rd Infantry Brigades, as well as a deep commitment to the care and recovery of our Soldiers. His leadership background spans reconnaissance, logistics, and strategic planning — all grounded in a career of dedicated service.
We thank Lt. Col. Horton for her exceptional leadership and welcome Lt. Col. Bair as he begins this important mission.
