U.S. Army combat engineers assigned to 95th Combat Engineer Company-Infantry, 130th Engineer Brigade, and Philippine Army Soldiers assigned to 503rd Combat Engineer Battalion, Combat Engineer Regiment, aid in engagement area development and building the defense as part of a Subject Matter Expert Exchange (SMEE) in support of Salaknib 25 at Fort Magsaysay, Philippines, May 17, 2025. This SMEE, conducted in preparation for Joint Pacific Multinational Readiness Center training, enhances interoperability between the U.S. and Philippine Armies, reinforcing a long-standing alliance, and advancing joint capabilities through shared expertise and partnership. Salaknib 2025 is an annual exercise between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the U.S. Military designed to strengthen bilateral interoperability, capabilities, trust, and cooperation built over decades of shared experiences.
