U.S. Air Force load masters sit on the open ramp of a C-130J Super Hercules aircraft while another C-130J aircraft flies behind over the coast of Normandy, France, June 5, 2025. The U.S. Air Force provided flyovers for 43 ceremonies to commemorate the 81st anniversary of Operation Overlord. By never forgetting what happened in Normandy 81 years ago, we pay fitting tribute to the D-Day heroes we commemorate - as we preserve their heritage to secure a future of peace and security in the Euro-Atlantic region.
