U.S. Marines with Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 16, Marine Aircraft Group 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, participate in a change of command ceremony at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, California, June 5, 2025. The change of command ceremony signifies the transition to new leadership and a continuation of the unit’s constant preparedness to fight and win. Under the leadership of the outgoing commanding officer, Lt. Col. Eric T. Hoffman, MALS-16 repaired 28,713 aircraft components, completed 62,111 maintenance actions, and sustained a 90 percent supply effectiveness rate across 658,000 man-hours, demonstrating excellence in support of Marine aviation.
