NAVAL STATION ROTA, Spain (June 4, 2025) Sailors from Arleigh-Burke class guided-missile destroyer USS Roosevelt (DDG 80) and emergency medical service personnel from U.S. Naval Station (NAVSTA) Rota prepare to transport a simulated victim requiring immediate medical assistance during a Full-Scale Exercise (FSE) fire response drill NAVSTA Rota, Spain, June 4, 2024. FSE is designed to assess Destroyer Squadron 60/Commander, Task Force 65 and Forward Deployed Regional Maintenance Center leadership's coordination and direction - with support from NAVSTA Rota - of shipboard and installation response to a major shipboard fire during a ship's maintenance period. NAVSTA Rota is a force multiplier, capable of promptly deploying and supporting combat-ready forces through land, air and sea, enabling warfighters and their families, sustaining the fleet and fostering the U.S. and Spanish partnership.
