U.S. Marines with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron (HMLA) 367, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing and U.S. Navy Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewmen with Special Boat Team 12, Navy Special Warfare Group 4 prepare to fly in a U.S. Marine Corps UH-1Y Venom assigned to HMLA-367 at Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton, California, May 29, 2025. The Marines and Naval Special Warfare (NSW) Combat Crewmen flew from MCAS Camp Pendleton to San Clemente Island for a live-fire exercise. NSW provides maritime special operations force capabilities to enable joint force lethality and survivability inside denied and contested areas. Joint live-fire exercises enhance joint force capabilities by improving interoperability, coordination, and combat readiness across maritime and amphibious operations.
