Three T-6 Texan II aircraft are taxied by student and instructor pilots to a holding area on the Columbus Air Force Base flightline for entry into an active runway during morning flying training operations on June 4, 2025. Columbus recently transitioned to a new Undergraduate Pilot Training program known as the Future of Undergraduate Pilot Training FUPT. FUPT transforms pilot training by integrating commercial flight programs through Educational Service Agreements optimizing the T-6A and T-38C curriculum and utilizing XR technologies and modern training platforms such as the T-7A Red Hawk.
