Six U.S. Soldiers with the Pennsylvania National Guard received recognition and a challenge coin from Maj. Gen. Laura McHugh, deputy adjutant general-Army, June 3, 2025, at Fort Indiantown Gap. The Soldiers contributed to a large improvement in the Pennsylvania Guard’s performance in the Department of Defense munitions, logistics, surveillance and explosives safety review, also known as the worldwide review between 2021 and 2025. U.S. Army Capt. Sierra Beard, who was also recognized with a coin, nominated the following five Soldiers who she said stood out for their extraordinary effort: Sgt. 1st Class Ciara Schult, Sgt. 1st Class Brandon Pollock, Sgt.
