A U.S. Army Soldier assigned to 2nd Squadron, 14th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Mobile Brigade, 25th Infantry Division, undergoes Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES), installation and validation with Angel Santiago, a civilian technician, in support of Salaknib 25 at Fort Magsaysay, Philippines, May 27, 2025. MILES implements the use of laser transmitters and receivers that attach to vehicles, weapons, and Soldiers, which promote training accuracy and equipment reliability. Salaknib 2025 is an annual exercise between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the U.S. Military designed to strengthen bilateral interoperability, capabilities, trust, and cooperation built over decades of shared experiences.
