    Safety First Before Night Movement

U.S. Army Spc. Kenneth Bullington attaches a light stick to the Pouch Attachment Ladder System (PALS) webbing on Sgt. Eric Johnson’s Improved Outer Tactical Vest (IOTV) at Training Area Petrochori, Greece, May 29, 2025. Johnson, a wheeled vehicle mechanic assigned to the 269th Military Police Company in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, was among several Soldiers augmenting the 252nd MP Company during DEFENDER 25. The light sticks were used as a safety measure to increase visibility and reduce the risk of vehicle-to-pedestrian accidents during the night portion of the convoy’s movement to the Nestos River for a multinational wet gap crossing.
