U.S. Army Sgt. Angel Martinez and Pfc. Gospel Formin, assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 759th Military Police Battalion, assigned to Joint Task Force–Southern Border, work together to troubleshoot the Ground Based Operational Surveillance System (Expeditionary) (GBOSS(E)) at Yuma, Ariz., May 27, 2025. This system, organic to certain military police battalions, provides specific support to U.S. Customs and Border Protection for enhancing detection and monitoring efforts and enabling broader mission sets. Under the direction of the U.S. Northern Command, Joint Task Force–Southern Border aligns efforts to seal the southern border and repel illegal activity and is responsible for full-scale, agile, and all-domain operations, which will allow for more effective and efficient DoD operations.
