    Work continues on a new Quad Dining Facility (DFAC) at Fort Jackson near Columbia, South Carolina, on October 10, 2024. The Quad DFAC consists of an adaptation of two two-story Dual Dining Facilities that are able to feed 5,200 trainee soldiers per meal within 90 minutes, three times per day, seven days a week, and 52 weeks per year. The facility staffs 328 people, providing jobs. In 2008, Charleston District reassumed responsibility for military construction projects at Fort Jackson.
