Commander for Marine Corps Systems Command Brig. Gen. Tamara Campbell discusses legislative and community engagement efforts tied to veterans’ recognition and Marine Corps modernization priorities with Michigan Rep. Jack Bergman at the National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C., on May 21, 2025. Campbell and Bergman greeted the All-Women Veterans Honor Flight, also known as Mission XXVI or the Women of Valor Flight, from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and thanked the 166 veterans for their service. Bergman, who retired as a lieutenant general, is the former Commander of Marine Forces reserve and Marine Forces North. He’s also the highest-ranking combat veteran ever elected to Congress.
