A U.S. Army UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter assigned to 1st Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, moves to to deliver New Mexico National Defense Area (NMNDA) signs to a marked site manned by U.S. Soldiers with 76th Engineer Company, assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border, near Antelope Wells, New Mexico, May 20, 2025. Materials were provided by aerial delivery due to austere terrain restricting ground maneuver. Under the direction of U.S. Northern Command, Joint Task Force–Southern Border aligns efforts to seal the southern border and repel illegal activity and is responsible for full-scale, agile, and all-domain operations, which will allow for more effective and efficient DoD operations.
