U.S. Army National Guard Soldiers from the 1-230th Assault Helicopter Battalion, alongside members of the Union City Fire Department, evacuated simulated casualties from Baptist Union City Hospital, May 15, 2025. The Tennessee Military Department, in conjunction with the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency and more than 30 partner agencies, is conducting a disaster response exercise across the state, May 12–18. The exercise provides participants an opportunity to activate and refine their response plans while enhancing mission command, relationships, and interoperability among federal, state, and local agencies.
