On April 25, 2015, Nepal was devastated by a massive earthquake, prompting the deployment of the III Marine Expeditionary Force and Marine Corps Installations Pacific personnel as part of Joint Task Force 505 to provide humanitarian assistance during Operation SAHAYOGI HAAT.
