Capt. Brian "?Bear" Koehr, professor of Navy science and commanding officer of the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps Chicago Consortium, talks to midshipmen at the Illinois Institute of Technology before introducing Senior Chief Hospital Corpsman Joe Murphy and Chief Master-at-Arms Thelma Gibson in a lecture hall next to the unit's offices here, March 1. The two senior enlisted talked to the 30 midshipmen and IIT staff members about the trust, respect and working relationship chiefs and officers need to have in a command to accomplish the daily mission. IIT is part of the Chicago Consortium that also includes midshipmen from the University of Illinois in Chicago, Northwestern University and Loyola University. Naval Service Training Command, headquartered at Naval Station Great Lakes, oversees 98 percent of initial officer and enlisted accessions training for the Navy.
