Munson Army Health Center Public Health Nurse 1st Lt. Kennedy Reeves was recognized during a Major League Baseball game between the Kansas City Royals and the Boston Red Sox, in Kansas City, May 9. The game was part of a Salute to Service event, which honors service members from all branches of the U.S. military and provides an opportunity for the public to learn about military service.
Army public health nurses focus on promoting health and preventing disease within the military community. Reeves works to improve the overall well-being of Soldiers, their families, and civilian employees through education, screenings, vaccinations, disease surveillance, and health program development. She and her team also address a wide range of health issues, from infectious diseases and environmental hazards to chronic disease management and mental health support.
