Kapolei High School students take turns operating a tabletop crane model during a visit to the Crane/Rigging Shop at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, April 25, 2025. The exercise offered a hands-on look at the fundamentals of lift planning, communication, and safety in support of shipyard operations. PHNSY & IMF’s mission is to keep the Navy’s fleet “Fit to Fight" by repairing, maintaining, and modernizing the Navy's fast-attack submarines and surface ships.
