U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Armando Elizalde, a Texas native, Communication Strategy and Operations chief with Headquarters Battalion, Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Command, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, conducts physical training honoring Lance Cpl. Jacob Hug and Cpl. Sara Medina at MCAGCC, Twentynine Palms, California, May 12, 2025. Ten years ago, Hug and Medina—a combat photographer and videographer—lost their lives in a helicopter crash while providing humanitarian aid in Nepal, along with four fellow Marines and two Nepalese soldiers.
