Marines assigned to Company K, Battalion Landing Team 3/2, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), secure their ship aboard the USS Carter Hall (LSD 50) while transiting the Strait of Gibraltar March 25, 2013. The 26th MEU is deployed to the 6th Fleet area of operation. The MEU operates continuously across the globe, providing the president and unified combatant commanders with a forward-deployed, sea-based, quick-reaction force.
