Soldiers from the 1st Mobile Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), execute a Large Scale, Long Range Air Assault (L2A2) mission to the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC), rapidly deploying brigade-sized combat power across 500 miles under the cover of darkness. UH-60 Black Hawks and CH-47 Chinooks transported troops and gear from Fort Campbell, Ky, to Fort Johnson, La, showcasing the reach and readiness of the Army’s premier Air Assault force. May 8th 2025.
