Col. Brandon Stepp, 624th Regional Support Group commander, presided over Chief Master Sgt. Allison Garces’s Assumption of Responsibility ceremony for the senior enlisted leader position on May 3, 2025, while at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam.
The AOR ceremony is a traditional event rich in symbolism and heritage. The key to the ceremony is the passing of the command’s color. The soul of the military unit is symbolized in the colors under which it fights, for they represent not only the lineage and honors of the organization but also the loyalty and unity of its personnel. The senior enlisted leaders of the unit are the custodians of the colors.
