U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Audra L. St. Hilaire, a finance technician with Headquarters and Service Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, and a native of Andover, Massachusetts, is congratulated during an awards ceremony at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, May 1, 2025. St. Hilaire was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for her outstanding performance while off duty. She witnessed a vehicle crash into a tree and roll over. St. Hilaire immediately rushed to the scene, saw that the driver was still buckled in, and used her knife to cut him free and help him out of the vehicle. After ensuring the driver was safely removed, she administered first aid and waited for medical personnel to arrive and provide further care. Through her remarkable actions, unwavering commitment, and sense of duty, St. Hilaire demonstrated exceptional character and honored the core values of the Marine Corps.
