Members of the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard Drill Team observe marching formations by the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force’s 302nd Military Police Company at the Ministry of Defense in Tokyo, Japan, April 22, 2025 during a training drill. The 302nd MP Company, known as the JGSDF’s Special Guard of Honor, is the only unit authorized to perform ceremonial honors for distinguished visitors. The visit was part of the Drill Team’s first official tour of Japan, April 20–27, which included performances at eight locations across the Kanto region and ceremonial exchanges with the Japan Self-Defense Forces and National Defense Academy cadets.
