Marines with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit unload a C-130 Hercules here before traveling to the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group, deployed at sea, March 29, 2013. The Marines were returning to the Kearsarge ARG after supporting training exercises in Europe. The 26th MEU operates across the globe, providing the president and unified combatant commanders with a forward-deployed, sea based quick reaction force capable of conducting amphibious operations, crisis response and limited contingency operations.
