Members of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency repatriation team prepare to drape a flag during a repatriation ceremony in Vietnam, April 19, 2025. The ceremony marked the end of the joint field activity and this iteration’s efforts to recover unaccounted-for personnel from the Vietnam War. During the ceremony, DPAA team members and Socialist Republic of Vietnam officials transferred possible remains to DPAA for potential identification at the DPAA laboratory on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. There are currently 1,573 personnel missing from the Vietnam War. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Megan Ozaki)
