Lt. Taylor Culbreath, Malvern Fire Dept., along with Staff Sgt. Martelle Miller, and Spc. Joslyn Burton, 39th Brigade Support Battalion, set up a potable water station, April 6, 2025, to support the City of Malvern and the surrounding communities until services can be restored.
The Arkansas Guardsmen delivered potable water after a lighting strike caused a catastrophic failure to the town’s water supply system.
The water tanker, commonly referred to as a “HIPPO,” can supply 2,000 gallons of water.
The Soldiers will continue to assist Malvern's Fire Department and Emergency Response Team until they are no longer needed.
The Governor has mobilized more than 50 Arkansas National Guardsmen to support and augment civil authorities, where needed.
