KEYPORT, Washington (Dec. 11, 2024) — Sailors assigned to Unmanned Undersea Vehicle Group (UUVGRU) 1 and Undersea Vehicle Squadron (UUVRON) 3 conduct training with the Navy’s newest Large Unmanned Undersea Vehicle (LUUV), the Anduril Dive-LD, in Keyport, Washington, Dec. 11, 2024. With Defense Innovation Unit supporting robotic and autonomous systems at scale, these Sailors are working to rapidly integrate new capabilities into the Navy. Unmanned systems in the hands of trained warfighters will extend and expand the reach and lethality of the Fleet. UUVGRU 1’s mission is to man, train and equip deployable forces operating unmanned undersea systems and to certify their readiness to support operational commanders globally and through all phases of conflict.
