BAUCAU, Timor-Leste (Jan. 28, 2025) LCpl Cajamarca Mathew Cardona from Clifton, New Jersey, assigned to 7th ESB, attached to U.S. Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 3, trims off overhanging excess from a wall panel sheeting to leave a flush, straight line finish garage entrance for the Humanitarian Assistance Disaster Relief Warehouse. NMCB-3 serves as the stand-in engineering force for the Commander, U.S. 7th Fleet, executing high-quality construction operations, activities, and investments. The battalion operates at the unit-of-action level to support major combat operations in the U.S Indo-Pacific Command area of responsibility with expertise in airfield, waterfront, and advanced base construction.
