Spc. Michael Haenel, a native of Corry, Pa., patrols the Tarmiyah Qada, northwest of Baghdad, in the early morning sun May 15 during Operation Raider Riptide I. The goal of the operation was to capture high-value individuals that have conducted criminal activity and have harmed residents in the region. Haenel is assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment "Wolfhounds," 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad.
