A simulated casualty is treated during a mass casualty exercise on Camp Humphreys, South Korea, March 12, 2025. The exercise is part of Freedom Shield 2025, an annual multi-domain exercise taking place across all U.S. and Republic of Korea military units in South Korea. U.S. Army medical Soldiers from the 568th Medical Company (Ground Ambulance) and 168th Multifunctional Medical Battalion served as the first responders to treat U.S. Soldiers from the 719th Military Intelligence Battalion following a simulated attack. U.S. Air Force medical Airmen from the 51st Medical Group based out of Osan Air Base also descended on Camp Humphreys to participate in the training.
